At CCN we provide privately managed connectivity to all our clients, and that means we know what speeds we can deliver and we manage the contention (or congestion), not the NBN. In remaining independent of the public network, we are able to avoid quoting diminished speeds at “peak hours” and “up to speeds” generically. It is generally accepted that the internet is the 4th utility. Would you accept a water company that said you may only get a trickle between 5 and 9 tonight. Or an electricity company that suggested you may need to wait until 10pm to be able to boil your kettle. Or a gas company that said dinner may need to wait until later! The answer to all those questions in undeniably no, so why are we accepting of that stance in our 4th utility?
We are not accepting, and that is why we manage our network all the way, giving us complete control over speeds, connectivity, applications and so on. If our network connected to the NBN or any other ISP’s network, we would not have the control to offer average speeds. We would not have the control to run independent multi feed CCTV streaming. We would not have the control to offer home automation on the same network platform. We would not have the control to allow multiple streams of entertainment and data on the same network platform.
There is a theme here. Without control it is impossible to guarantee any level of customer satisfaction. Without control it is impossible to tell people what they will actually get, not a theoretical maximum. Without control you need parallel infrastructure to deliver applications that coexist on a single network beautifully, if only you had control………..
If you want the control to ensure that technology drives value and customer experience, talk to CCN on 1300 831 315 or register with us for further information.
